Updates to the AODES snowmobile lineup
Ahead of the new snowmobile season, this article covers the changes coming to the AODES snowmobile range for the 2025–26 season.
This year the lineup will again include the AODES Snowcross WT and SWT, and the Siberiacross with telescopic suspension, likewise with WT and SWT tracks. Last year these snowmobiles proved themselves in a wide range of operating conditions; some customers have already passed 2,000 km, and this season the reliability of the machines will certainly please users again. These snowmobiles can no longer be called a “new product”: given the close attention AODES engineers pay to these models and the improvement programs the company runs from time to time, it is safe to say the product is genuinely high quality, and the manufacturer is trying to meet the wishes of Russian customers.
The 2025 AODES snowmobile lineup also includes a number of changes that the manufacturer has already built into the machines now on sale. More detail on some of them:
- Let’s start with the main assemblies: the fuel module. Previously there was a risk of a defect in the fuel pump retaining ring. To remove that risk, the manufacturer has introduced a new design with ring clamps that allows the assembly to be installed precisely and minimizes incorrect installation: if fitted wrongly, the ring simply will not lock. This element is now extremely reliable.
- Next, the fuel system. The fuel filter bracket has been reworked to account for all vibration loads, and the filter itself has been replaced with one with a finer degree of filtration. Filtration efficiency is now very high, which keeps the injectors from clogging on poor-quality fuel.
- In the exhaust system, the muffler bracket has changed. It is made of 409 stainless steel, which increases its strength and durability.
- In the cooling system, the position of the expansion tank has also been changed, and the distance from the muffler pipe is now larger. The tank itself is stamped, as on cars, which makes it more resistant to pressure and gives it high heat resistance.
- On the opposite side you can see that the ignition coil mounting bracket has changed. To minimize the effect of vibration on the coil, it has been moved to the snowmobile body.
More visible improvements:
- The lid of the glove compartment under the passenger seat has changed. The new design removes the creases that kept the lid from closing properly.
- The handlebars now have new grips made of EPDM rubber, which is more resistant to both sub-zero temperature swings and heat, and is also more elastic.
- The glove box above the instrument panel also has small changes. Because of temperature fluctuations, particularly at speed, the box lid deformed slightly and let snow in. This has been fixed with a reinforcement that adds rigidity to the lid. This compartment can be used for small items.
- To prevent potential heating and melting from exhaust gases leaving the muffler, the ski heel has received a structural reinforcement in the form of a metal plate.
