AODES at SNOW Pomorye — the All-Russian snowmobile sports festival
Last weekend one of the largest snowmobile events for people in the north-west of our country took place: the fifth winter sports and tourism festival “SNOW Pomorye”, held on March 14–16 at the Malinovka sports and recreation center in the Ustyansky District, Arkhangelsk Region.
It was a vivid event! The festival brought together 160 racers from all over the country, who competed in 5 professional and amateur categories on mountain and utility snowmobiles. The festival grounds covered 412,500 m², and the total length of the trails exceeded 400 km!
The participants were backed by a support team of spectators, more than 1,500 of whom came this year! To keep the sporting spirit up, the venue was equipped with racing elements, music and hot refreshments.
This year the festival was held with the support of the official AODES distributor, MDV (Merkury-DV). All participants and spectators of “SNOW Pomorye” could immerse themselves in a real atmosphere of emotion and competitive spirit. The roar of two-stroke and four-stroke engines made fans’ hearts beat faster!
Besides the sporting program, there were test rides. The test drive of AODES ATVs and snowmobiles drew more than 150 participants, and in the brand’s tent visitors could win prizes and souvenirs for taking part! Nobody left without a memorable AODES prize😊
The official AODES dealer in the Arkhangelsk Region, the TekhnoSam retail chain, also supported the festival, presenting a wide choice of gear and outdoor products at the event.
To build and groom the trails, the SNOW Pomorye organizers were provided with AODES snowmobiles for test drives. Almost a month of trail preparation and grooming, venue setup and evacuation was carried out with the Snowcross 1000 WT and Siberiacross 1000 SWT snowmobiles.
Here is a comment from one of the organizers, who worked on the snowmobiles every day:
The AODES team is glad to take part in events like this! We believe everyone should have the chance to experience sports competitions and feel this atmosphere. Together with official dealerships, Merkury-DV actively holds and supports regional events and races across Russia every season!
